Interblock has appointed Kai Oswald as its new chief executive officer. The board of directors finalized the selection on July 21, 2026, following a comprehensive recruitment process.
Bala Ganesan served as interim CEO since John Connelly departed in February. Ganesan will now resume his full-time role as managing director at Oaktree Capital Management, the firm whose advised investment funds own the majority of Interblock's equity.
Leadership Transition and Background
Oswald brings over 25 years of international leadership experience across consumer and industrial technology sectors. He previously served as CEO of KOHPA Technologies. David Quick, managing director at Oaktree and Interblock board member, noted that the search was rigorous and highlighted Oswald's track record in scaling businesses across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
The new executive emphasized the company's current strengths. "Interblock is an exceptional company, which is the product of a talented global team, industry-leading innovation and the disciplined operating platform Bala and the leadership team have been building over the last several months," Oswald stated. He added that he looks forward to delivering operational excellence and strengthening customer relationships in every market.
